SMS Terms & Privacy

1. Program Description

ReviewBoost is an SMS review request platform operated by Website Lab, LLC d/b/a Brightwork Digital. Local service businesses use ReviewBoost to send text messages to their customers requesting feedback via a Google review link. Messages are sent on behalf of the client business and always identify the business by name.

2. How You Opt In (Consent)

Before any SMS is sent, the business must obtain both of the following forms of consent:

  1. Written consent: You sign a service contract, invoice, or similar document that includes SMS authorization language permitting the business to send you text messages requesting your feedback.
  2. Verbal consent: You provide verbal confirmation directly to the business or its representative (for example, at the completion of a service) that you agree to receive a text message.

Both written and verbal consent are required before any message is sent. The business operator must then confirm in the ReviewBoost application that both forms of consent have been obtained by checking a required consent box. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 4 messages per month from a business using ReviewBoost, including initial review requests and follow-up reminders. The number of messages depends on your interactions with the business.

4. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

5. Opt-Out (How to Stop Messages)

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. You may also reply CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number from this service. To re-subscribe, reply START.

7. Privacy & Data Sharing

Your mobile phone number and personal information are collected solely for the purpose of sending the review request message(s) described above. We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer your mobile number or any related personal information to any third party for promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Your information may be shared only with the specific business that initiated the review request and with our SMS service provider (Twilio) as required to deliver the messages.

9. Required Contract Consent Language

Businesses using ReviewBoost are required to include the following language (or substantially similar language) in their service contracts or invoices to obtain written consent:

"I consent to receive text messages from [Business Name] at the phone number provided, including service feedback requests and reminders. Msg frequency: up to 4 msgs/month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Consent is not required for service. SMS terms: brightworkdigital.co/sms-terms"
